Week One:
- An introduction to the main concepts of the course which include:
- primary & second foods
- bio-individuality
- adding in vs. crowding out
- living with grace and ease.
- Past challenges to realizing our health goals and how to work with them not against them.
- Goal setting – how to set realistic and achievable goals and how to make a plan to reach those goals.
Week Two:
- Stress – what it is and the physiological effects on the body and how to mitigate these.
- Nutrition basics – macro nutrients, portion sizes, and individual needs for nutrition.
- Time management – the role it plays in being able to care for ourselves well. We learn some simple time management techniques we can apply to our lives to facilitate reaching our goals.
Week Three:
- The power of awareness – the impact of where we put our attention and focus on a daily basis and the role this plays in our health.
- Menu planning & food shopping tips to get the best value for the lowest price.
- Creative self-expression – the value of expressing ourselves through a creative outlet.
Week Four:
- The Being of Happiness – what happiness is and what it isn’t
- Cooking Methods – a description of different types of cooking methods and tips on how to make food preparation easy and fun.
- Meditation & Contemplation – the role that these two activities play in our personal happiness and peace of mind.
Week Five:
- Action and Contribution – how these two concepts add to our personal happiness and health.
